The Tradition of Aqeeqah

  1. The Arabs would make Aqeeqah for their children.
  2. There were many reasons for Aqeeqah.
  3. These reasons relate to the community, to the town and to the individual carrying out the Aqeeqah.
  4. Hence, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) preserved it.
  5. He carried it out himself and encouraged others to do it as well.
