Minimum Haidh, Its Condition and Two Examples

  1. Haidh is at a minimum of 3 days and 3 nights, that is 72 hours.
  2. Example (1):
  • She bled from Sunday at sunrise time till Wednesday sunrise time.

Example (2)

  • She spotted on Sunday at sunrise time.
  • Till Fajr on Wednesday, she saw nothing.
  • Then just before sunrise (a second or two) she spotted again.
  1. In both cases she had haidh in view of the minimum time frame of haidh being met.
  2. The condition for haidh is for the blood or bleeding to be found at the beginning and at the end of the 3-day (72 hour) period.
  3. It does not matter whether in between she experienced any bleeding/spotting, or not.
