  1. There is no minimum duration for nifaas.
  2. It can be for even a moment.
  3. Consequently, if immediately after having given birth bleeding stopped, she should take a ghusl and start performing her Salaat.
  4. The maximum duration of nifaas is 40 days.
  5. Over and above 40 days is istihaadhah.
