Mahram for a Female in Her Haj Journey

- It is necessary for a female to have her husband or a mahram (male relative with whom nikaah is not permissible, such as brother, grandfather, et al) accompanying her on her Haj journey.
- It is not permissible for her to go for Haj with a mahram who is na-baaligh (underage) or not at all Deeni conscious.
- When she finds a trustworthy mahram, now her husband cannot stop her from going for Haj. If the husband refuses her permission, she must still go.
- It is not permissible for even a girl close to the age of buloogh (puberty) to go without a mahram.
- It is furthermore not permissible for a near-adolescent girl to go for Haj with a non-mahram (a person who is not her Shar’i mahram).
