  1. If the child is a girl, do not adorn her with jewellery until she goes into pardah (that is, she reaches adolescence).
  2. Adorning a child with jewellery is risky to her life (as she could be snatched away and abducted).
  3. Secondly, it is not good for her to become inclined towards jewellery from childhood.
