Ten Mercies for You, Ten of Your Wrongs Effaced and Ten Stages Higher for You

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: Whoever sends to me one Salaat (Durood), Allah sends ten Salaats (Durood/Special Mercies) to him, ten wrongs of his/her are wiped out and he/she is raised ten stages higher.” (Nasaai – Mishkaat)

Salaat of Allah to the servant is Allah’s mercy to him. (Mirqaat)

It should be known that it is the policy of kings and noblemen to honour those who honour their dear ones, and to dignify those who dignify their friends. Allah Ta’ala being the King of kings and the Noblest of the nobles is therefore more deserving of this graciousness.

Thus, whoever honours His Habeeb (Beloved) and Nabi, Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) by sending Durood to him (the Beloved Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), he will find from the Gracious Allah, mercy, effacing of his/her wrongs and elevation of his/her stages. (Al-Mafaateeh)
