The Best Dowry (Part Two)

Reading Time: < 1 minute
  1. First and foremost is obedience to Allah Ta’ala and Rasool-e-Maqbool (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). Always remember this whole-heartedly. If someone tells you to do anything against Allah Ta’ala and Rasool-e-Maqbool (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), no matter who the person be, never listen to him or her.

See! There is exceptional emphasis in the Qur’aan Shareef on obeying one’s parents. And Jannat lies beneath their feet. But if parents advise to do something against Allah Ta’ala and His Rasool (Alaihis Salaatu was Salaam), then one cannot even listen to them.

Allah Ta’ala says in His Kalaam:

 وَاِنْ جٰهَدَاكَ عَلٰي اَنْ تُشرِكَ بِيْ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِي الدُّنيَا مَعْرُوْفًا

Translation: “If your parents force you to join partners with Me that which you have no knowledge thereof, do not obey them. Still, treat them well in this world.”

In the Forty Hadeeth which we compiled for you, and which you learnt by heart together with the translations, this Hadeeth appears:

لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوْقٍ فِيْ مَعْصِيَةِ الْخَالِقِ

“There is no obedience to creation in something which entails disobedience to the Creator.”

So, if you bear from the bottom of your heart Divine Obedience then you will automatically be constant in the Commandments of Allah.
