Reading Time: < 1 minute- She was from the Jurhum Tribe.
- She settled in the Hajoon neighbourhood of Makkah.
- She came to Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and said: “Yaa Rasulallah! I have wronged myself; I have committed zina. Purify me.” Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) asked her if she had given birth. She replied, “No.” “How much longer for your birth?” asked Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). She replied that it was about a month left to which Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “I cannot purify you until you have given birth.”

Lessons
- The shame of committing a wrong so overwhelmed her that she could not bear living without being purified. Such was the Imaan of the Sahaabiyyaat.
- She preferred to be cleansed of her sin in this world than to face Allah Ta’ala in the Aakhirah with the disgrace of having committed zina.
- The lesson in this Sahaabiyyah’s life for us is that we should hasten towards Taubah for our sins and purify ourselves from haraam acts before Maut overtakes us.
