Coming Out of the Home

Hazrat Abdullah Bin Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Women have no share in emerging from their homes unless they are forced to.”
In other words, women should not come out of their homes without there being a necessity and unavoidable circumstance.
In this Hadeeth the following also appears: “Women have no right of walking on the streets besides the sides.”
This means that if due to necessity they come out and have to walk on the road then they should walk on the sides.
