The Saintliness of Maulana Gangohi’s Daughter

Once, Hadhrat Haji Imdadullah (Rahmatullahi alaih) happened to be a guest in Gangoh. He presented two rupees to Bibi Safiyyah who was at that time a little girl. (She was the daughter of Hadhrat Maulana Gangohi Rahmatullahi alaih.)

Bibi Safiyyah placed the two rupees on the feet of Haji Saheb. He picked up the coins again and put them in her hand. She repeated her performance. Haji Saheb commented: “She will become a Zaahidah.” (A zaahid is a saint who has renounced love for the world and its possessions.” Hadhrat Gangohi said: “Truly, she is so. Money and sand are the same for her.”
