Woman is Aurah

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the man who wears women’s clothes and the woman who wears men’s clothes.
 [Ibn Maajah – An-Nasaa’i – Ahmad]

Explanation

The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) cursed men who imitate women and women who imitate men. This is because Allah, the Almighty, has created males and females and gave each gender unique characteristics. Men are different from women in their build, character, strength, religion (obligations and rulings), and other matters. Whoever tries to make men resemble women or vice versa is opposing the decree and legislation of Allah, because Allah, the Almighty, has a wise purpose in what He created and legislated. Hence, religious texts carry a stern warning to men who imitate women and women who imitate men that they would be cursed by Allah, i.e. expelled and kept away from the mercy of Allah.

Whoever promotes dhalaal (sin and misguidance), he will have to bear  sins equivalent to all those who had followed him (by committing the sin) until the Day of Qiyaamah without their sins being decreased in the least”  [Hadith]

NABI SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM SAID:

“Woman is aurah (i.e. an object of concealment).   When she emerges (from her home) shaitaan casts surreptitious glances at her (to ambush her and manipulate her for fitnah).                                                         And undoubtedly the closest she is to Allah Ta’ala is when she is at the innermost corner of her house.”

NABI SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM SAID:

“A MAN WHO CASTS A GAZE AT A WOMAN, LOOKS AT (EVEN) HER GARMENTS, AND DISCERNS HER BODY’S SHAPE, WILL NOT SMELL  THE FRAGRANCE OF JANNAT.”
