Honouring Those Who Protect the Qur’aan

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Honour those who protect the Qur’aan. Those who honour the Protectors of the Qur’aan have honoured me.” (Dailami)
Honouring Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is self-evident. (Behshti Zewar)
The Hadeeth goes on to state: “And whoever has honoured me has honoured Allah. Listen carefully! Do not be complacent therefore in the rights of the Protectors of the Qur’aan, for indeed the Protectors of the Qur’aan have a position by Allah which is close to them being Ambiya, besides that they do not receive Wahi.” (Faidhul Qadeer)
