  • Her name was Nafeesah.
  • She is from the family of our Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
  • She is the granddaughter of Hazrat Zaid (Radhiyallahu anhu), the grandson of Hazrat Ali (Radhiyallahu anhu).
  • She was born in the year 145 Hijri, in Makkah.
  • She grew up with Ibaadat.
  • When the great Imaam Shaafi’ (Rahmatullahi alaih) came to Misr, he would visit her (to derive Deeni benefit from her).

Lessons

  1. Ladies! Ilm and piety are such things which constrained even such a great Imaam as Imaam Shaafi’ (Rahmatullahi alaih) to visit Sayyidah Nafeesah (Rahmatullahi alaiha).
  2. Therefore, you should acquire Ilm of the Deen.
  3. And practise upon your Ilm so that you attain piety.
