Saheeh Damm/Genuine Blood

  1. Saheeh Damm literally means: genuine blood.
  2. Saheeh Damm in Fiqhi parlance refers to genuine blood of haidh or nifaas. In other words, the bleeding is considered to be haidh or nifaas.
  3. Saheeh Damm in haidh is the blood or bleeding which is neither less than 3 days nor more than 10 days.
  4. If a woman bled for more than 10 days then the bleeding until her aadat, that is her regular number of days of haidh each month, is also called saheeh damm.
  5. All haidh bleeding – which can be from 3 days to 10 days – are saheeh damm.
  6. In nifaas, the saheeh damm is 40 days of bleeding or less.
