Why You Should Fast

  1. It comes in the Hadeeth that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said to two persons: “You should fast, for fasting is a shield against Jahannam and a shield against the tribulations of time”.
  2. In other words, by virtue of fasting one is saved from Jahannam and from difficulties and tribulations.
