Providing Iftaar

Reading Time: < 1 minute
  1. It comes in the Hadeeth that a person who provides Iftaar for a fasting person then the person who provided Iftaar gets thawaab equivalent to the thawaab received by the fasting person without any reduction in the fasting person’s thawaab.
  2. In other words, the fasting person’s thawaab for his fast will not be shared by the two. Rather, both will receive the full reward of a day of fasting in Ramadhaan.
  3. The person who provided the Iftaari (dates, etc, for breaking the fast) will receive through the Fadhl and Karam (Grace and Munificence) of Haq Ta’ala a double reward; one for his own fast and one of the person to whom he gave something to break his/her fast.
  4. This virtue is gained even if you provided some dates or some water for the fasting person to break his/her fast.
