Providing Iftaar
Reading Time: < 1 minute
- It comes in the Hadeeth that a person who provides Iftaar for a fasting person then the person who provided Iftaar gets thawaab equivalent to the thawaab received by the fasting person without any reduction in the fasting person’s thawaab.
- In other words, the fasting person’s thawaab for his fast will not be shared by the two. Rather, both will receive the full reward of a day of fasting in Ramadhaan.
- The person who provided the Iftaari (dates, etc, for breaking the fast) will receive through the Fadhl and Karam (Grace and Munificence) of Haq Ta’ala a double reward; one for his own fast and one of the person to whom he gave something to break his/her fast.
- This virtue is gained even if you provided some dates or some water for the fasting person to break his/her fast.
