Don’ts for a Woman in Ihraam

- A woman should never do iztiba’ and ramal.
- Iztiba’ to wear the Ihraam in the fashion of males, that is, to take the shawl or ihraam towel under the left armpit and throw it over the left shoulder.
- Ramal is to walk in the first three rounds of Tawaaf briskly with the chest out.
- She should also not run between the Meelain Akhdhrain – the Greenlight Area.
- Between the green lights she should walk normally.
- She should not kiss the Hajar-e-Aswad when there are men around.
- She should not even touch the Hajar-e-Aswad in the presence of other males.
- She should not read the two rakaats Salaat of Tawaaf behind the Maqaam-e-Ibraheem when there are crowds of males there. [She should read the two rakaats in some secluded or less crowded area of Masjidul Haraam.]
