Nifaas When Giving Birth to Twins or Triplets

1. If a woman gives birth to twins, or triplets, etc. her nifaas will be from the delivery of the first child.
2. A child will be considered to be a twin if it is born within 6 months of the previous baby.
3. In triplets, quadruplets, etc. there shouldn’t be more than 6 months separating each birth, regardless of what the duration between the first baby and the third or the fourth is.
4. The iddat of a woman who gives birth to twins or triplets, etc. ends with the last baby because her womb is now clear.
