The Consideration Accorded by Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) to Thuwaibah
When Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) migrated to Madinah he used to send money and clothing for Hazrat Thuwaibah (who breastfed him for a few days) and he would honour her considerably.
Even when he was living in Makkah, she used to visit the home of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), and he would show great respect and consideration for her. For this reason, Hazrat Khadijah (Radhiyallahu anha) was also very hospitable to her.
In the sixth year of Hijrah, after the Conquest of Khaibar, Hazrat Thuwaibah (Radhiyallahu anha) passed away. When this news reached Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), he was very grieved.
In the eighth year of Hijrah when conquering Makkah, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) enquired about the son of Hazrat Thuwaibah, Masrooh, who had also been fed alongside him. Having received no information about the son of Thuwaibah (Radhiyallahu anha), Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) enquired about her other relatives. However, none of them were alive.
