When to Stop Earning More
Reading Time: < 1 minute
- Allah Ta’ala has created money to fulfil our needs.
- With the money, you can fulfil your necessities and then engross yourself in Ibaadat of Allah Ta’ala because without eating and drinking Ibaadat cannot be rendered.
- Thus, money and wealth are not objectives per se; they are desired for something else.
- Therefore, when you have gained that much which is sufficient for your needs, you should not hanker after more and multiply your wealth in greed.
- Hence, it is not fardh for you, if you have wealth to the degree of necessity, to increase your wealth.
- In fact, greed for wealth will make you forgetful of Allah Ta’ala.
- Being rich, traps one in sin.
- Think about the above very carefully.
