First Haidh With Incomplete Tuhr
Reading Time: < 1 minute
A mubtadiah notices some bleeding. The bleeding was for a short time. Then she remained clean for 14 days. The 14 days was followed by a little bleeding. This can be represented as following:
B—14C—B
(B=Bleeding, C=Clean)
The following rules apply for this case:
- The clean state (tuhr) is incomplete.
- It does not, therefore, separate the bleeding before and after.
- She is considered to be in continuous bleeding from the little bleeding at the beginning till the bleeding after the 14-day clean period.
- Thus, she bled, in effect, for 16 days.
- Her haidh is the first 10 days of this 16-day period.
- She is also considered to be baaligh (having reached the age of puberty) now.
- After 10 days she was supposed to have taken a ghusl, although apparently, she was not bleeding.
- She should, therefore, make Qadha of any fast of Ramadhaan missed during these 10 days.
- She, furthermore, ended her haidh without apparent bleeding prior to it.
- She did, however, start this haidh with her noticing some bleeding.
- It should also be noted that an incomplete tuhr must be preceded and ended with some bleeding.
