Incomplete Tuhr in Nifaas

Reading Time: < 1 minute

A woman gave birth to her first child.

Just a moment or two after giving birth her bleeding stopped.

On the 40th day from giving birth she saw some blood.

She was in nifaas for all 40 days.

The general rule is that in the nifaas period an incomplete tuhr, be it a few days or many days, does not separate the bleeding in the beginning from the bleeding at the end.

40 days in nifaas is akin to 10 days of haidh.

All bleeding in 10 days is considered to be haidh. The same applies to nifaas.
