Hazrat Khadijah’s Sons

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The oldest of the sons of Hazrat Khadijah was Qaasim, and it is because of him that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is also called Abul Qaasim (the Father of Qaasim). He had started walking and passed away at the age of  1½ years of age. He was born before Nubuwwat in Makkah and passed away in Makkah. He was the first of the children of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) to pass away.

After him there was another son named Abdullah, who passed away after a short while in this world.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and Hazrat Khadijah (Radhiyallahu anha) bore the grief of losing their children with patience like those patient and grateful parents do who are content with the Will of Allah in losing their children.

According to some narrations, Hazrat Khadijah (Radhiyallahu anha) had two more sons, named Tayyib and Taahir, but some Ulama have said that these names were also the names of Abdullah.
