Reading Time: < 1 minute
- Prior to constructing the Ka’bah Shareef, Hazrat Ibraheem (Alaihis Salaam) came twice to Makkah.
- On both occasions Hazrat Isma’eel (Alaihis Salaam) was not at home.
- Hazrat Ibraheem was not instructed to stay for long.
- On the first occasion when he came, he asked the wife of Isma’eel (Alaihis Salaam): “How is everything?”
- She replied: “We are in much difficulty.”
- Hazrat Ibraheem (Alaihis Salaam) said: “When your husband comes, convey to him my Salaam and tell him to change the door of his home.”
- When Hazrat Isma’eel returned he learnt of his father’s visit.
- He told his wife: “That was my father and you are the door. He has instructed me to leave you.”
- He gave her talaaq and married someone else.
- When Hazrat Ibraheem (Alahis Salaam) came again then only the new wife was at home.
- She was very hospitable to him.
- He asked her how was their living condition.
- She replied: “Shukr unto Allah, we are living comfortably.”
- Hazrat Ibraheem (Alaihis Salaam) made Du’aa and said: “When your husband returns home, convey to him my Salaam and tell him to keep his door.”
- When Hazrat Isma’eel (Alaihis Salaam) came back, he learnt of a visitor coming.
- He said to his wife: “That was my father, and he conveyed to me to keep you.”
Lessons
- Look at the fruits of ingratitude which the first wife received.
- A Nabi became angry with her and another Nabi separated from her.
- And consider the fruits which the second wife received for her Sabr and Shukr.
- One Nabi made Du’aa for her, and she was conferred with remaining in the khidmat of another Nabi.
- Ladies! Never be ungrateful.
- Live with Sabr and Shukr (patience and gratitude).
