  • Hazrat Mu’aawiyah (Radhiyallahu anhu) was the brother-in-law of our Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
  • He was the brother of Hazrat Umme Habeebah (Radhiyallahu anha), the wife of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
  • His mother was Hind Bint Utbah.
  • Once, Hind [the mother-in-law of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam)] said to Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam): “Before becoming a Muslim my condition was such that I desired you to be the most disgraced [Na’uthu Billah]. And now my condition is that I desire you to be the most honoured.”
  • Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) responded: “The same with me.”

Lessons

  1. One thing we learn from this is that she was honest.
  2. Secondly, she loved Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
  3. And Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) had love for her.
  4. Ladies! Be honest!
  5. And have love for Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
  6. And do such things which will make Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) love you.
