Eating a Food or Fruit with Ants or Fruit Flies or Worms Inside

1. If there are dead ants in some foodstuff, then it is not permissible to eat that food without removing the ants.
2. If an ant or two went down the throat, one will get the sin of eating carrion.
3. Some children, in fact, even adults, eat gular (cluster figs) while the fig wasps are inside. They believe that eating the gular with these wasps inside prevents eye infection. This is haraam. The sin of eating carrion is incurred.
