- An animal which eats only filthy things is haraam to eat.
- A bird which eats only filthy things is haraam to eat.
- Examples of such animals are: lions, wolves, jackals, cats, dogs, monkeys, etc.
- Examples of such birds are: eagles, hawks, vultures, etc.
- Those animals and birds which are not like that are halaal.
- Animals which are not like that are: bucks, ducks, hares, etc.
- Birds which belong to the halaal class are: parrots, starlings, doves, sparrows, partridges, wild ducks, pigeons, etc.
