Hazrat Khadijah’s Business Enterprise
Hazrat Khadijah (Radhiyallahu anha) lived with great honour and affluence. She had wealth from her father and wealth that her husbands had left behind. She did not waste the wealth. Rather, with her Allah-given intelligence and good planning she began increasing it, due to which she became very prosperous and the wealthiest woman of the Quraish.
She would pick out from poor people those whom she discerned to have aptitude and dependability, and she would entrust them with her wealth telling them to go to such-and-such place for trade, and they would also be given a share.
They would take the wealth and do business and buy things which she wanted. In this manner, Hazrat Khadijah (Radhiyallahu anha) profited, and her workers would also be remunerated so much that they would become happy.
