Kindness to Neighbours

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Faqeeh Abu Laith (Rahmatullahi alaih) said that kindness to neighbours entails four acts:

  1. To aid the neighbours when they are in need.
  2. To refrain from desiring what the neighbour has.
  3. To refrain from causing the slightest inconvenience to the neighbour.
  4. To tolerate the inconveniences which the neighbour causes one.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said that Jibraeel (Alaihis salaam) emphasised the rights of the neighbour so much that he thought that the neighbour would be made an heir in one’s estate.
