Islam and Birth Control

In essence the two most important reasons why Islam and modern birth control can never be compatible are:

1. The purpose of marriage in Islam is to raise children to be good Muslims in the context of wholesome family life. Thus modern artificial contraceptives frustrate its very raison d’être and degrades the sexual act merely for animal lust, and pure selfishness.
2. Those who habitually resort to artificial contraceptives will inevitably be led to believe that the creation of new life does not depend upon the will of Allah, but rather solely on their use or lack of use of such human devices. The illusion that human beings have the ultimate power to make conception possible or prevent it, leads straight down the road to atheism.
