The Time on the Day of Jumu’ah Du’aa is Certainly Accepted
Reading Time: < 1 minute
- Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said that there is a time on the Day of Jumu’ah in which the Du’aa of a Muslim is certainly accepted. (Saheehain Shareefain – Bukhari and Muslim)
- There exists a difference of opinion among the Ulama as to the time mentioned in this Hadeeth.
- Shaikh Abdul Haq Muhaddith-e-Dehlawi (Rahmatullahi alaihi) has recorded forty views in his Sharhu Sifaris Sa’aadat.
- However, two views of the forty stand out.
- One is that the time is when the Khutbah is read till the end of the Jumu’ah Salaah.
- The second is that the time referred to is at the end of the day.
- A large number of Ulama have taken the second view.
- There are many Saheeh (authentic) Ahadeeth which corroborate this view (that the time of Du’aa being certainly accepted on the Day of Jumu’ah is a time after Asr till sunset).
