Reading Time: 2 minutes
  1. “Beware! All of you are responsible over someone, and all of you will have to answer for those he/she is responsible for. A ruler is responsible for the public, and he will be questioned about his subjects. A man is responsible for his household and will be questioned about them. A woman is responsible for the house and children of her husband, and she will be questioned about this. A slave is responsible for the wealth of his master and will be questioned about it. Beware! All of you are responsible and will be questioned.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
  2. “A woman who applies perfume and then walks past men so that they can smell the perfume is an adulterer.” (Targheeb)
  3. “There are two groups of the people of Jahannam whom I have never seen. (In other words, up to the time of Rasulullah, Sallallahu alaihi wasallam, they were not yet in existence.) The first group is that of people who will walk around with whips like the tails of oxen and whip others. The second group is that of women who will be wearing clothes, yet they will be naked. (Wearing clothes yet being naked can be in several ways. One is that the garments are very fine, not concealing the body. The second instance is of garments being tightfitting, revealing the contours of the body. The third is to be scantily dressed, like women nowadays coming out only in skirts. And little girls are dressed in these without any trousers. The legs and arms are all visible. Al-‘Iyaathu Billaah.) They will attract men towards them and they themselves will be attracted to the men. Their hair will be like the humps of camels. These women will never enter Jannat and nor will they ever smell its fragrance.” (Muslim)
  1. “What you feed yourself is sadaqah. What you feed your children is sadaqah. What you feed your wife is sadaqah, and what you feed your servant is also sadaqah.” (Ahmad)
  2. “Allah will not look (with a gaze of mercy) at a woman who is ungrateful to her husband whereas she is dependent on him.”  (Nasaai)
