“Marry, For I Will Take Pride in You”

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Our Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Marry, for I will take pride in you over the other nations (on the Day of Qiyaamat).”

In other words, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) dearly wanted his Ummah to be huge in numbers and more than the other nations so that through the abundance of their good deeds Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) gains greater reward and more closeness to Allah Ta’ala.

The reason for this is that whoever of this Ummat does any good deed, it is by virtue of the Ta’leem (Teaching) of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). Therefore, the more there are of those who render good deeds, the more thawaab Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) will receive for teaching them.

We furthermore learn from this, that as much as possible and in whichever way possible we should engage in ways to bring us closer to Allah Ta’ala and increase our A’maal. We should not be complacent in this regard.

(The increase in A’maal should be gradual, for example, increasing every ten days. This gradual increase is more durable and sustainable – Khairun Nisa)
