A Distinction of Hazrat Khadijah

One of the special attributes and distinction of Hazrat Khadijah (Radhiyallahu anha) was that all the children of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) were born from her. None of the other wives of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) had children from him. Only one son of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), Hazrat Ibrahim, was born from his slave-girl, Hazrat Maariya (Radhiyallahu anha).

After her marriage to Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) Hazrat Khadijah (Radhiyallahu anha) did not have children for some time, about 5 years. After that, 4 girls named Zainab, Ruqayyah, Umme Kulthum and Faatimah, and 2 boys named Qaasim and Abdullah were born. All these children were born prior to Nubuwwat.
