A Significance of Aqeeqah

  1. Among the reasons for Aqeeqah is to show that the child born belongs to Millate Haneefah, that is the Deen of Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
  2. Aqeeqah is to proclaim that this child is also a Haneefi – one who has dissociated from all creeds and cults, turning to the One and Only Lord of the world, following the Way of Ibraaheem and Ismaa’eel (Alaihimas Salaam).
