What Not to Do and What Not to Say When a Person is Dying

1. When a person is about to pass away then do not speak about anything which will make his/her heart think about the dunya.
2. This is a time of separation from the dunya and appearing before Allah Ta’ala.
3. Do something or say something which will make the one passing away turn to Allah Ta’ala.
4. This is the best for the person passing away.
5. At this critical time to bring the children of the person in front of him/her or someone else whom he/she loved; to say something which makes his/her heart long for them and his/her heart becoming overwhelmed with love for them are very bad acts to do.
6. If the mayyit left this world with love for the world then it was an evil death. Na’uthu Billah (We seek Allah Ta’ala’s protection).
