1 Day Bleeding, 30 Days Clean, 1 Day Bleeding, 14 Days Clean, 1 Day Bleeding in Nifaas

Reading Time: < 1 minute
  1. Nifaas Aadat (Routine): 20 days
  2. Case: 1 day bleeding, 30 days clean, 1 day bleeding, 14 days clean, 1 day bleeding.
  3. Her nifaas remains 20 days, in view of the bleeding extending beyond 40 days.
  4. The second clean period was less than 15 days. When a clean period is less than 15 days then the bleeding preceding it, the bleeding after it and the apparent clean period in-between are combined.
  5. Thus, the 1 day before the 14-day clean period, the incomplete clean period of 14 days and the day thereafter are all added together, as though the bleeding continued throughout this period.
  6. She, therefore, bled 47 days in effect.
  7. Therefore, she returns to her aadat of 20 days as the bleeding was more than 40 days.
  8. The following diagram depicts the above scenario:

1B—30C—1B—14B—1B = 47 days

(B=Bleeding, C=Clean)
