5 Days Bleeding, 15 Days Clean and 11 Days Bleeding in Haidh
Reading Time: < 1 minute
- A woman has a set number of 5 days haidh.
- And her routine number of clean days (tuhr) is 55.
- She saw 5 days of blood as usual.
- But she remained only 15 days clean, instead of her typical 55 days.
- Then she bled for 11 days.
- The clean period in between the two cycles of bleeding was complete (taam – 15 days).
- Therefore, this clean period separates the two spells of bleeding.
- The second case of bleeding went beyond the limit of haidh.
- Therefore, she will revert to her aadat of 5 days.
- He aadat of haidh has changed insofar as time is concerned. It came 40 days earlier.
- But her number of days remains unchanged, that is 5 days.
- The following diagram represents the above case:
5B—15C—11B
(B=Bleeding, C=Clean)
- To summarize, the first 5 days of the 11 days of bleeding is haidh, and the rest istihaadhah.
- Furthermore, her habitual number of days of tuhr has decreased from 55 days to 15 days.
