Du’aa When Slaughtering

Reading Time: < 1 minute- Place the Qur’baani animal (on its side) facing the Qiblah.
- Recite this Du’aa:
إِنِّيْ وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِيْ فَطَرَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيْفًا
Truly, I have turned my face in all respect to the Being Who created the heavens and the earth,
وَمَآ أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ
And I am not one who worships others.
قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِيْ وَنُسُكِيْ وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِيْ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ
Say, that unquestionably my Salaat, my Qur’baani, my life and my death are for Allah, the Lord of the Universe.
لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهࣳ
There is no partner unto Him.
وَبِذٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
With that have I been commanded, and I am a Muslim.
اَللّٰهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَلَكَ
O Allah! (This is) from You and for You.
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ
In the Name of Allah!
الَلّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ
Allah is the Greatest!
- Then slaughter.
