Tinkling Jewellery

It is permissible for women to wear jewellery, but it is best not to wear too much. Whoever does not wear a lot in this world will get plenty in the Hereafter.

It is not permissible to wear tinkling jewellery, even for small girls, such as a tinkling anklet, etc.

Once a woman came to Hazrat Aishah (Radhiyallahu Ta’ala anha), the wife of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), and with her was her daughter who was wearing tinkling jewellery. Hazrat Aishah (Radhiyallahu anha) said to the woman: “Do not bring the girl by me unless she has removed that jewellery. I heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) saying that angels do not enter a house in which there are jingling bells.” (Mishkaat Shareef)
