Reading Time: < 1 minute
  1. The expenses of the mahram accompanying a woman on her Hajj journey will be borne by her.
  2. A woman is not sinful for not performing Haj, even for her entire life, if she does not find an adequate Shar’i mahram to accompany her.
  3. However, it is waajib upon her to make wasiyyat [a bequest] before she passes away, for Haj to be made on her behalf.
  4. Then after she passes away, her heir will send someone to make Haj on her behalf with the money she left behind.
  5. In this manner, the obligation of her Haj will be discharged.
  6. Such a Haj where someone performs Haj on behalf of someone else, is called Hajj-e-Badal.
