Reading Time: < 1 minute- There are 3 types of bleeding affecting a woman.
- They are: haidh (menstrual bleeding), nifaas (postpartum bleeding) and istihaadhah (irregular bleeding).
- They have a starting point and an end point.
- The starting point is when blood becomes visible.
- The meaning of the blood becoming visible is that it leaves the farj-e-daakhil (inner genital tract) and comes to the farj-e-khaarij (outer genital tract).
- The farj-e-daakhil is round, equivalent to the anus or the urethral opening.
- The farj-e-khaarij is elongated, akin to the labia or the foreskin.
- The starting of the bleeding could also be when the blood aligns with the edge of the inner genital tract.
