Hazrat Halimah (Radhiyallahu Anha) Visiting Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) in Ji’raanah
After Umme Aiman returned Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) to Makkah, Hazrat Halimah (Radhiyallahu anha) still lived for a long time.
Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) spent 13 years in Makkah after Nubuwwat. 8 years after Hijrat when Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was 61 years old, he was once distributing meat at a place called Ji’raanah which was a day’s journey from Makkah. Hazrat Halimah (Radhiyallahu anha) came there and Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) spread out his shawl for her to sit on. People were surprised, however, they then learnt that she was the wet-nurse of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), for this reason she was honoured in this way.
Some Ulama have said that it was the daughter of Hazrat Halimah who came, and not Hazrat Halimah herself.
