The Rank of One Who Taught and Practised on the Teachings of the Qur’aan

It comes in the Hadeeth that a person who taught the Qur’aan and practised on what is in it (in other words, on the Injunctions of the Qur’aan) his parents will be crowned on the Day of Qiyaamah with crowns whose radiance will be more splendid than the light of the sun when it is in your homes.

In other words, in this world when the rays of the sun cast light in your homes, more resplendent than this light will be the light and shine of the crown of the parents whose son or daughter taught the Qur’aan and practised upon its teachings.

The Hadeeth goes on to say: “Now what do you think of the thawaab (reward) of the person who himself practised on the Qur’aan!”

In other words, the one who practised on the Qur’aan and by virtue of whom his/her parents were conferred with such a stage, such a person’s stages will be so much more greater!
