Hazrat Zainab was the eldest of her children. She was born in Makkah 10 years before Nubuwwat. She was married to her cousin, Abul Aas. The mother of Abul Aas was Haalah, the daughter of Khuwaylid and the sister of Hazrat Khadijah.

Hazrat Zainab (Radhiyallahu anha) passed away in the eighth year of Nubuwwat, two years before the death of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). While she was being given ghusl, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) stood outside and gave instructions on the procedure of ghusl and kafan to the women who were giving the ghusl.

The second daughter was Hazrat Ruqayyah (Radhiyallahu anha) who was married to Hazrat Uthmaan Bin Affaan who was the third Khaleefah (Radhiyallahu anhu). She passed away two years after making hijrat to Madinah.

After she passed away, her younger sister, Hazrat Umme Kulthoom married Hazrat Uthmaan (Radhiyallahu anhu). For this reason, he is known as Thun Nurain (the one with two lights). She also passed away young, during the ninth year of Hijrah. She was laid to rest next to her sister, Ruqayyah (Radhiyallahu anhuma).

The youngest of the daughters was Hazrat Faatimah (Radhiyallahu anha). She was born five years prior to Nubuwwat, and married Hazrat Ali (Radhiyallahu anhu) in the second year of hijrat during the month of Ramadhan. Hazrat Hasan and Hazrat Husain (Radhiyallahu anhuma), as well as some other children, were born from her. It is from her children that the progeny of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) spread in the world. She passed away six months after the passing of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
