Reading Time: 2 minutesA woman has a set pattern for haidh. She then experiences a change in the pattern.
There are two possible scenarios here.
- The bleeding carried on for more than 10 days.
- The bleeding did not carry on for more than 10 days.
- If the bleeding carried on for more than 10 days, there are also two possibilities.
1.1 During her haidh days she was completely clean, that is, she did not experience any bleeding for the full duration of her expected haidh days. The bleeding started only after the expected number of her haidh days passed by.
1.2 She experienced less than 3 days of bleeding in her expected haidh days.
The rules pertaining to both scenarios are as follows:
- The number of her haidh days remains unchanged.
- However, her time of haidh has changed.
- Whatever is more than her set number of days will be istihaadhah.
Example of 1.1:
Her expected haidh is the first 5 days of each month. However, on a particular month she was clean for the first 5 days. Then she had 11 days of bleeding.
- Her aadat has changed.
- Her haidh was from the first day of bleeding and lasted for 5 days.
- Her number of days, that is 5, remains unchanged.
- However, her time of haidh has changed. It is no more from the beginning of the month. It is from the 6th till the 10th.
Example of 1.2:
Her expected haidh is the first 5 days of each month. However, on a particular month she was clean for the first 3 days.
It is from the 4th till the 8th.
