Terrible Oaths, But which Come into Effect
Reading Time: < 1 minute
- A person said, “If I do that then I must die without Imaan [Na’uthubillah!]”, “…I should not be able to recite the Kalimah when I die [Na’uthubillah]”, or the person said, “…then I am not a Muslim [Na’uthubillah]”, the oath comes into effect.
- Violating this qasam necessitates giving the Kaffaarah.
- One will not lose one’s Imaan by taking such an oath.
- However, one should refrain at all costs from taking such an oath.
- One should never take such an oath.
