Terrible Oaths, But which Come into Effect

  1. A person said, “If I do that then I must die without Imaan [Na’uthubillah!]”, “…I should not be able to recite the Kalimah when I die [Na’uthubillah]”, or the person said, “…then I am not a Muslim [Na’uthubillah]”, the oath comes into effect.
  2. Violating this qasam necessitates giving the Kaffaarah.
  3. One will not lose one’s Imaan by taking such an oath.
  4. However, one should refrain at all costs from taking such an oath.
  5. One should never take such an oath.
