The Second Reason for Seeking Allah Ta’ala’s Protection

Everyone wants to have True Deen [Religion] and Correct I’tiqaad (Belief). No one is pleased with jahl and kufr [ignorance of religion and disbelief in what they consider to be Religion and Belief] for themselves.

Now, if the state of affairs was according to a person’s effort and intention, it would necessarily follow that everyone is on the Haqq and Saadiq [on the truth and correct].

Since this is not the state of affairs, rather, we find that those who are on the Haqq are like a white strand on the skin of a black ox compared to those on baatil, we gather therefrom that there is no salvation from the darknesses of deviation but with the Help of the Lord of the heavens and earth. [We, therefore, need to seek His protection and say, A’oothu Billahi minash shaytaanir rajeem].
