Seeking Divine Protection in All Circumstances

Allah Ta’ala said to His Rasool (Alaihis Salaatu Was Salaam):
وَقُلْ رَّبِّ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزٰتِ الشَّيٰطِيْنِ
(Surah Mu-minoon, 97)
“And say, “O my Rabb! I seek Your protection from the prodding of the shayateen.”
This formula of Isti’aathah (seeking divine protection) is general. It is not restricted to any particular condition. This evinces that a person is wholly unable to attain [correct] beliefs and knowledge [without the Help of Allah Azza Wa Jall].
