Expenses During Illness

1. A woman fell ill. She is entitled to expenses for the duration of her illness, irrespective of her being at her husband’s home or her parents’ home.
2. However, if she was at her parents’ home and the husband called her to his home and she did not go, then she is not entitled to expenses.
3. During her illness she can only claim expenses for food, drink and clothing.
4. In her illness she cannot claim medical expenses and the doctor’s fees. If the husband gives these from his side, it will be taken to be an act of kindness and a favour.
