Expenses During Illness

- A woman fell ill. She is entitled to expenses for the duration of her illness, irrespective of her being at her husband’s home or her parents’ home.
- However, if she was at her parents’ home and the husband called her to his home and she did not go, then she is not entitled to expenses.
- During her illness she can only claim expenses for food, drink and clothing.
- In her illness she cannot claim medical expenses and the doctor’s fees. If the husband gives these from his side, it will be taken to be an act of kindness and a favour.
